Entry into applicant pool requires an Associate's degree from an accredited institution in Animal Science, Health Science, or a closely related field. We are a busy, full service, AAHA accredited hospital with an experienced support staff. This position is responsible for hospitalized animal care based on doctors’ orders and readiness of hospital ward through regular maintenance including cleaning exam areas and hospital kennels. The right candidate will be out going and compassionate with a great love for pets and their people. Maturity with the ability to stay calm in urgent care situations, integrity, a strong work ethic and working well with others are also essential.

The Cat Hospital of Durham and Chapel Hill is a full service, feline only hospital offering complete medical, dental and surgical care as well as boarding services for our patients. We are currently looking for an experienced veterinary technician or veterinary assistant to join our team as a full-time employee. This position includes some weekend shifts.
Prior veterinary experience is required for this position. Duties will include, but are not limited to, assisting veterinarians during appointments, monitoring anesthesia during surgical procedures, monitoring inventory, customer relations with clients and caring for boarding and hospitalized cats.
